Google has banned more than 600 apps available in its Play Store that were showing a lot of ads to users.
While Google does not disclose the names of the banned apps, it does say that these apps have been downloaded over 4 billion times and their creators are from China, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.
This shows that they also include the most popular apps.
Remember that Google considers ads to be “scammers” that show ads unexpectedly to users or interfere with users’ device usage, such as if Google will show fullscreen ads when trying to place an app call. Describes it as undesirable.
Google says it has developed a system that allows users to identify such ads as annoying apps.
